Facial Fillers

Injectable Filler - Before and After
Before and After

There are a variety of facial fillers that can temporarily soften wrinkles when injected into your skin.

Injection of a facial filler is generally an outpatient procedure that’s done under local anesthesia. The procedure takes up to an hour.

What types of facial filler are available?

  • Hyaluronic acid (Juvederm, others). Juvéderm is a collection of injectable fillers used to decrease the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and also adds volume to the lips. This natural component of the skin’s connective tissue is the most common filler used for wrinkles. The results typically last about six months to one year.

What a consultation entails

Prior to your facial fillers treatment, a consultation will enable us to thoroughly evaluate your skin and decide which filler is the right option for your particular lines, wrinkles and loss of volume.  In addition, your consultation is the time for you to ask any questions that you may have about the procedure, as well discuss your desired results and expectations.

What to expect during Treatment

Prior to your injectable filler treatment, the area will be cleaned and you may be given a topical anesthetic to numb the area.  A precise amount of filler will then be injected beneath the skin in the specific intended area. Depending on the filler used and the area being treated, you may notice results immediately after you receive your filler injection.  You may also experience some mild bruising and swelling but this will be temporary and will subside in the days after treatment.

Recovery information

Since treatment with facial fillers requires minimal downtime, you can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave the office.
